Dog Grooming

At Nose 2 Tail Pet Care we offer a full dog grooming service. Whether you require a body clip, a tidy up, a groom out or a bath we can assist. Your dog will only need to stay in our salon for the time it takes us to groom them, no more leaving them at the salon all day! Price is dependent on size and condition of your pet which may affect the time it will take to complete.

We only use products that are all natural, paraben & sulphate free. A guide to our prices are below, exact quotes will be given when your dog arrives for their grooming appointment.

PLEASE NOTE: any dogs presented with knots, matting, fleas or take longer to groom due to behaviours will incur a higher fee.

Clipping Service

Includes: Full body clip, hydrobath, blow dry, nails & cologne. We are often booked up at least 2 weeks in advance, 4-6 weeks during the warmer months, so please phone to make your booking as soon as possible! We highly recommend a regular appointment every 6-8 weeks to ensure your dogs coat is kept in the best possible condition.

A tidy up service is available when no length is taken off the coat. This includes a bath, full blow dry and tidying up the face, feet, tail and sanitary. Please phone us for an estimate.

Groom Out Service

Includes: Removing undercoat & loose fur, hydrobath, blow dry, nails & cologne. Reduces shedding by up to 80%!

A groom out is suitable for dogs with a thicker coat, an undercoat or who shed regularly. This service does not include any clipping however feet are tidied up.
We suggest that double coated dogs should retain their coats and have the groom out service as an alternative to clipping.

We are strongly opposed to animal cruelty, therefore we do not de-matt in cases where the knots in the coat are so bad that it would cause pain and suffering, possible risk of injury or undue distress to the dog.

Free Puppy Groom

We offer a FREE 20 minute Puppy groom for puppies between 8 and 20 weeks of age.

Short Coat: hydrobath & blow dry, nails trimmed, brush & a yummy treat

Long Coat: trim in front of eyes & under feet, hydrobath & blow dry, nails trimmed, brush & a yummy treat.
Valid for puppies up to 20 weeks of age for their initial visit only.

PLUS - Receive 50% off additional full priced dog washes until puppies are 6 months old.

It is very important to get your puppy used to being groomed from a young age. Whether they have a long coat or short, they should be socialized to grooming as soon as possible. Please take advantage of this offer to set your pup up for a stress free life of grooming.

Hydrobath Service

Includes: Brush, wash, condition, clean ears, nails, blow dry & cologne. An appointment is recommended, however we can often accommodate walk ins.

Saturday Dog Wash

On Saturdays from 9am-3:30pm we offer an express dog hydrobath service. You can choose between a towel dry or a partial blow dry for your dog. Bookings are essential for this service so please contact the store to make an appointment. This service is extremely popular and the mornings book up very quickly. Please arrive at least 5 minutes before your appointment to ensure the day runs smoothly for everyone.

We do accept walk ins, however there may be a wait as we will only be able to fit you in during any gaps in bookings. To avoid disappointment and lengthy waits, we advise making bookings for our Saturday express dog washes, which can be made on the day or during the week prior. Nail clipping is not included in our Saturday washes but can be arranged when you arrive for your wash.

Dog grooming includes washing, clipping and trimming, brushing, cutting nails and cleaning ears.
Having your dog groomed is a lot easier if they are introduced to it as puppies, so training your puppy to accept washing and other grooming techniques is imperative. Grooming is important for your pet and is more than aesthetically pleasing to you. It is great for cutting down on shedding and smell, but will keep your pet’s skin, hair, nails and teeth healthy. Grooming is also a great way to cut down on allergies and infection for both you and your dog.

It is important to maintain a regular grooming routine with your dog at home. A daily brush to remove any knots and excess hair will reduce the likelihood of matting in the coat. It is extremely important that all knots are removed before a dog is bathed as any knots will become tighter and may require clipping to beremoved. It isimperative to maintain your dogs grooming as a knotted dog may require a shorter than expected clip as it is dangerous to try and cut knots out with scissors.

Always remember that your dog’s hair will grow back!! Many owners get the wrong advice on caring for their pet's coat. With the correct advice and grooming tools, owners have the opportunity to get it right by the next visit to the groomer. Regular professional grooming is the easiest and most convenient way to ensure your dog remains in the best condition possible.
